Its weird to me because Andy Dick was indirectly responsible for his death.

Phil Hartmans wife was a recovering drug addict. The belief was that Andy got Phils wife back onto cocaine or whatever and she shot him while she was high.... or something along those lines.

Jon Lovitz strangled Andy Dick because of this.
Jimmy Labatt
I thought he smashed his face into a bar.

Frank Rizzo
lets close our eyes and imagine both.

Frank Rizzo
"Laugh Factory owner Jamie Masada, who witnessed the assault, said, "Jon picked Andy up by the head and smashed him into the bar four or five times, and blood started pouring out of his nose." Lovitz told Page Six, "All the comedians are glad I did it because this guy is a [bleep]hole." [...]"

oh sweet jesus

I didn't even watch this video and I never will because I have been drinking since noon and I don't care by five stars for the denoument to the last season of SNL I watched.

It was also about the time the Simpsons started sucking.

I imagine the sound, the meaty thud, the 'bang' of the wood. Maybe a few drinks clattering on the bar. Ach, every stupid thing gets filmed and not that.

I thought Lovitz attacked Andy Dick for some snide comment he made about Hartman after the fact.

I'm voting for the image of Andy Dick's head being bashed apart for some bad, awful things he said and I hope his shoes fell off.

Well there was the thing where Dick put the 'Phil Hartman hex' on Lovitz and expressed the wish that he would be the next to die.

It could possibly be that.

Dick made a joke about Lovitz getting the "Hartman hex" and Lovitz kicked his ass. He was later unapologetic because he claims he personally knows that Dick was responsible for giving Hartman's wife cocaine which made her more psychotic than usual given her past with drugs and thus resulted in her mental breakdown which caused her to murder him.

Whether or not that's true, there's a ton of fairly reliable anecdotal evidence that, coke or not, the woman would have undoubtedly broken down at some point, later rather than sooner.

Anyway, this was a great way to send him off the show and I was really glad they did it that way. I'm also one of the few who didn't think the last season without Hartman was that bad. I thought it was pretty good, considering. Just not good enough to keep the show going.

Andy Dick is not "indirectly responsible"
Hartman's wife was mental.

Hank, Andy got his wife back on coke, which is where the mental went off the deep end.

La Loco
Andy Dick is a dick and probably deserves his head bounced against a bar but no one is responsible for their drug use except themselves. Does anyone think Andy forced coke up her nose?

Hay Belly
hahaha look at the cute little Loco babby trying to make words. No, no one does anything stupid or relapse due to the actions of others, it's always because they choose to.

Just smile and make a 'can I has' joke, pumpkin.

I don't need Andy Dick to be anecdotally responsible for another comedian's death to hate him for being a fuckin' tool.

Andy Dick reminds me of a gay worm

Phil was the best.
That's a horrible thing to say about gays, and worms.

William Burns
What langauge was this probably-scathing insult translated from?

I hope Andy Dick dies a painful death while utterly alone.
The good people always leave early, leaving us with the Adam Sandler's and Rob Schneider's of the world.
