What the fuck was the point of all the missiles if they were just going to end up doing THAT?

Aernaroth2 - 2009-11-11

Robots from space like to wreck stuff up for fun.

Cyberblah - 2009-11-11

If they don't use their whole missile budget this year it'll be cut next year.

memedumpster - 2009-11-11

Shock and awe algorithm. They had to wait until enough video footage hit the global media before they unleashed their actual invasion weapon.

Cleaner82 - 2009-11-10

Goddamn it kid don't just stand there, do something!

Jeriko-1 - 2009-11-11

Seven Hour War tag.

I'd like to think this is how it went down.

Freeman Gordon - 2009-11-11

Darn Combine forces.

phalsebob - 2009-11-11

not jerry bruckheimer looks pretty cool.

Mister Yuck - 2009-11-11

That's uh... that's not the third world.

Caminante Nocturno - 2009-11-11

What are you talking about? Those people clearly aren't white.

Syd Midnight - 2009-11-11

Thank God! It missed us!

Caminante Nocturno - 2009-11-11

Japan refuses to share its schoolgirl technology, while the United States charges exorbitant fees for the use of Will Smith.

duck&cover - 2009-11-11

It's neat that one of their producers is named Snake.

Hooper_X - 2009-11-11

That was pretty awesome. Does that mean these guys are gonna get a District 9-type deal out of it?

Doctor Arcane - 2009-11-11

Were the fighter planes WWII? Even third world countries have Migs.

godot - 2009-11-11

You just witnessed the destruction of every combat aircraft in the Uroguayan Air Force: a dozen Cessna A-37 Dragonfly

They were most recently used in deadly combat during the 1995 Cenepa War between Ecuador and Peru.

j lzrd / swift idiot - 2009-11-11

I like giant robots!

Explodotron - 2009-11-11

I was hoping, by the design of the legs in the reveal, that this was going to be Steel Battalion based. Still, I'm not going to give up the chance to see giant mechs get into a little urban warfare.

Sidenote: Isn't that the music from '28 Days/Weeks Later' ?

Tetsuo - 2009-11-11

Yup, its from 28 days later. Its been used in a lot of trailers recently.

godot - 2009-11-11

Its the new "Requiem for a Dream" soundtrack, which found its way into trailers for "The Two Towers", "The Da Vinci Code", "Zathura", "300", "Sunshine" and "Valley of Flowers". Both are very similar musically, and easy to cut to.

Syd Midnight - 2009-11-11

Lacking Western firepower and Japanese expertise in dealing with giant malevolent monsters, some smaller countries are absolutely doomed if they ever get invaded by robots, aliens etc. That's sad. :(
