Agreed. This commercial would have been a lot more awesome if Tarantino had been replaced with the two micro twins from Mothra and some precocious children.

Ah, Japan and Tarantino: two things can't make anything good, now that Kurosawa's dead.
bongoprophet
you're right!

QT made Jackie Brown in 1997. Kurosawa died in 1998. After that it's just been downhill.

How did you figure it out?

Seriously though, yes. I just watched Ikiru again the other day and the fact that a movie about a man dying slowly of stomach cancer is one of the best feel good movies ever is a testament to how damn great Kurosawa was.

Camonk
The only problem there is that Jackie Brown was also unbearable.

Weeaboo is Japanese for "whipped" apparently.

I never knew I NEEDED an ipod speaker that looks like a stuffed dog... BUT NOW I DO.

After his flailing and SAMURAI SPIRIT yelling, it sounds like the dog says "Mucho honky-do".
I like that.

If that woman in the blue cardigan could follow QT around and make him stop doing things in the style of 0:14, the world would be a better place. He's a talented man, but he needs limits.
