Maybe it was because I saw this at the right age, but I still think this is a really good adaptation of A Christmas Carol.
I didn't unwrap this tape...it was sitting on the tailgate of a Power Wheels. Good fucking Christmas.

"Borrowing it" isn't the old-fashioned way to make money.

I was always upset as a kid that most of the cool gadgets in the intro never found their way beyond the first episode of the show.

dead_cat - 2009-12-28 As a child, I was always just distractingly overcome by curiosity over why everything was up in the sky. And as an adult, I wonder if it's because there's some kind of horrible, post-apocalyptic wasteland on the ground, where all the poor people, minorities, mutants, zombies, killer robots, and other undesirables are forced to live.

joffe b - 2009-12-28 there was a thing by John K awhile back where he talked about working on the show. Apparently the animators kept trying to add weird gadgets that had nothing to do with the show but the executives kept telling them to tone it down. Like in one scene at the dinner table while everyone was having a normal Hanna Barberra talking head scene, they added a bunch of machines to chew the food, put it in the characters mouths in between talking, and help them swallow. The executives thought it was too weird and had them redo it without any gadgets.
