The sketch when done by the original performers is extremely funny and requires a lot of skill and timing to pull it off.

It's the repeats and the copycats who make this unfunny. These guys get an E for effort though.

Exactly. I had heard the sketch a few times before hearing it performed by Abbot and Costello, and I still found it hilarious. Timing really is everything.

It's not Shakespeare without a few deaths, but not only did they perform admirably, they added a few clever jokes of their own. I wonder Who they are?
