Brilliant arguments are for things that are important. But basically we are saying that when you insist he must have talent, because he has gotten somewhere in the industry, you are dead wrong. Or rather his talents don't nessecarily lie in his field.

Rob was a spectacularly successful artist in the 90s, and he must be an incredible businessman because as an artist he sucks. Oh man he sucks. It's generally subjective I suppose, personal taste, but this is different. In the sense that the sky is blue Rob Liefeld sucks. This was used as evidence that an artist doesn't have to be talented to find success.

These other guys are not as bad, but they have a similar generic ten-year-old aesthetic vibe. They write things that appear to people like me as I imagine all comic books do to normal people.

"Bayonetta is anime fantasy wanking material, it has QTEs and it's the kind of game that is killing the industry. I died in the first 10 minutes of the game and didn't bother to play the rest.
