It's a sticky wicket. Instead of free weights, Walker used a crap-ton of cardio and martial arts training to keep fit during his football career. He competed in martial arts tournaments in his free time, and his opponent's only win comes from doctor stoppage. Furthermore, his opponent only obtained a one-fight deal from Strikforce--this one.

It's great to see an older guy doing well, but this feels a bit like booking orchestrated to create a feel-good moment.

It was 100% a setup fight against a total can, but the description is still wholly inaccurate. As for his martial arts background, I was referring specifically to mixed martial arts, which he's been training since around 2007.
