Binro the Heretic Kind of well-done, but I never got the alleged "scariness" of that logo. I saw it practically every day as a kid.
I thought the music was kind of happy and upbeat, myself.
B. Weed Same here. I also wasn't that bothered by the V of Doom, but I think I was entering my teens by the time Viacom was showing up everywhere.
dead_cat Oh hell, I was scared shitless by pretty much every logo screen -- and if the chords that went with it were loud, it was especially terrifying.
klingerbgoode How about that HBO logo from the late 80s that preceeded their feature presentations?
revdrew The V of Doom is worse, and that one after the Muppet Show was the worst of them all.
MrBuddy Most of the horror movie opening credits aren't as scary as that United Artist logo. The Mark VII logo with the hand and the hammer at the end of Dragnet always made me uneasy although I wasn't afraid of it.

Cleaner82 It does look like some sort of sigil with an eye in the middle come to think of it.
paparatti I have no idea what they're talking about, but this would make a great radio broadcast when the apocalypse comes.
