They were protesting Twitter, of all things? If they start protesting the Internet itself, they may finally meet their Waterloo.

They were in San Francisco to protest many things including a Jewish school or charity(I forget) and performances of "Fiddler on the Roof" and "Rent". I forget why they decided to protest Twitter, but it seemed like such a stupid thing that messages went out on Twitter telling people to plan the anti-protest. WBC didn't make it to the performance of Fiddler, so the only people out there were the nonsense protesters who still walked around with their signs. The director of the show liked it so much that he came out and talked to the group.

One of the 'protesters' had a sign that said "I WAS PROMISED DONUTS".

The police took it.

After the event. Because they asked very nicely and the lady who'd made the sign thought it was hilarious for them to have.
