I guess you need a little imagination and insight to see that the evil is in the backstory. The woman is forty-something. Grandma. Which may indicate her daughter is a teen mother. And she's drunk. At the zoo. With the grandkid. And the grandkid sees the drunk grandma get her fingers...aw forget it.
