So all you need to do to open a door is be able to stick half your arm in. And a rubber band. Thanks MacGuyver.
Not only is that awkward, but looks like it's very specific to a lock found only in hotels or cruise ships, which usually don't have a chain lock.
Thanks for labeling the "opened" and "locked" pictures. I would have been confused otherwise.
At around the :50 mark I was starting to think this was a joke. Alas.
It seems like he could just, you know, unlock it with his hand.
The chain isn't long enough to unlock while the door is cracked open. Hence the rubber band.
Those are the dorkiest hands I've ever seen.
So how does the rubber band help with the electronic lock?
If you're behind the door while someone tries to do something like this, what's the best response?
Kicking the door close or grabbing the arm and breaking some fingers like Rutger Hauer in Blade Runner?
