The rabbit might just be in a state of tonic immobility because it's on its back. In which case, it's not dreaming, it's wide awake and terrified.

I have to say that I am curious as to what kind a nightmare a domesticated bunny (that has, presumably, never been subjected to a natural predator in it's short life) has.

I guess nightmares are a helpful survival function, and even a domesticated animal has to wonder when their loving overlords are going to redeem their flesh for precious sustenance.
