Reportedly they originally had it end with tree trunks exploding and thats it, rumor has it Cartoon Network made them add that last part in at the end with her in I presume some sort of apple heaven?
This show gets away with a lot of shit, I hope it gets a couple of seasons in before Cartoon Network water it down.
also, spencer, four of those stars are actually for the 'surrealist horror for kids' tag, which I'm sure will be linked by another AT episode. 1 star is my disapproving frown upon Candlejack's most unfortunate comment.
Fun fact: According to the creators the entire series is post-apocalyptic. If you look closely you can see unexploded bombs and dilapidated tanks in some of the backgrounds in some episodes.
