+20 for Betty White
-15 for the show that's overstayed its welcome by about 15 years.

It's fashionable to hate SNL.
I hate SNL.
Therefore I am fashionable.
That really puts the "jism" in "syllogism."

Camonk - 2010-05-14 What is it with idiots white knighting shitty shows nowadays?

DJRobotron - 2010-05-15 The Belushi-Murray era was vastly superior to the current crop of hacks, as well as those of any other SNL era (I'm referring, of course, to '80-'83 stretch which peaked with the arrival of Jim Belushi and Brian Doyle-Murray). The urbane wit of Charles Rocket, the sexy charm of Denny Dillon, the unforgettable charisma of Gail Matthius, the innovative comic stylings of Tony Rosato, Tim Kazurinsky's inimitable characterizations, Robin Duke's rock-solid comedic timing, Brad Hall's almost Will Rogers-esque way with the turn of a phrase, Mary Gross with her edgy, in-your-face political satire, the unpredictable improvisations of Gary Kroeger, and who could forget Joe Piscopo and Eddie Murphy? Why, back then I could watch a Gumby sketch or a "Buckwheat Sings" commercial parody without having to first cleanse my mind of the image of Eddie Murphy blowing she-male hookers.
Those were the days, my friend.
We thought they'd never end.
We thought we'd laugh forever and a day.
