freedoom My grandfather is a retired baker and cake decorator. His complaint about cakes like this are they are sculptures not cakes. It takes 4 days to build this cake. They use generic sheet cakes that they prebake and refrigerate. So the cake is stale by the time it gets to the destination. He also hates fondant and calls it lazy and flavorless. He's a man of the piping bag.
Personally think they look neat.
