NAACP: They Still Got It!
StanleyPain - 2010-06-08
Sure am glad their spending time on this rather than, you know, something that actually forwards social justice or does something useful.
This was posted by SolarTungsten on PoE-News:
Do a search of the NAACP website for Hallmark. You'll get zero hits. Of course, the statements were attributed to the LA NAACP, which also doesn't mention the Hallmark issue on their web site.
Which, gee makes it sound like they don't care about the issue at all.
The media is deliberately pushing an angle to makes it look like scary black skinned lawyers are swooping in and riling up crazy 'old biddies,' an angle that you swallowed completely and uncritically.
The two people making the comments in the interviews aren't random old people that the NAACP found, they ARE the NAACP. Leon Jenkins is the president of one of the local chapters in LA. If you look at the room in which they are making the announcement, you'll see that there are maybe a dozen people in total. The room is filled with empty chairs, almost as if no one cares.
But hey, if he media professionals can't differentiate between official actions undertaken by the NAACP and acts undertaken by local members of the NAACP, why should we try? They're probably right. I mean, racist ended with slavery, right?
It's the news. They do that with everything. Probably not specifically racist; corporate journalists are just horrible people.

conclusion: black people don't hear so good
see, black people heae like this
but white people hear like this.
Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2010-06-08
I fail to see how they would get spooked out over this.
It's good to see that there's at least one group out there that is still brave enough to call a spade a spade.

For some unknown reason, black people have a problem with this term.
spikestoyiu - 2010-06-08
Dear Hallmark, please never stop selling those cards you make specifically for black people as they make tremendous birthday cards for my younger brother.
Rape Van Winkle - 2010-06-08
What's a white hole?
Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. A black hole
sucks time and matter out of the Universe; a white hole returns it.
They don't actually exist but don't tell Shitcock

I hear "and you planets, fudge pack"
5 stars for "it sounds like a group of children laughing and joking about blackness!"
BLACKNESS IS NO LAUGHING MATTER!!!
boner - 2010-06-08
Can they at least re-name their organization so that white people are allowed to say it?
papercut_junky - 2010-06-08
How did a black person hear that card anyway? Must have been buying it for the child of a white friend.
I'm going to hell for that, aren't I?
Dynamicuno - 2010-06-08
I hope these folks never get wind of Rap....oops.
I wounder if they could change there acronym to NAAECP...National Association for the Advancement and Education of Colored People or merge with the UNCF and get a clue.
I personally like how even the Planets are told not to trust "The Blackies".
WATCH OUT EARF!

I said it before, and I'll say it again; if I were black, I would totally reclaim "black holes" as a source of pride. They're massive, unstoppable, powerful, and a little mysterious. Who wouldn't love to be associated with that?

Not you, obviously.
Rodents of Unusual Size - 2010-06-08
Shouldn't they be concerned about the fact that the South is basically filled with poor black people who are denied the opportunity to get into good schools and oh? Yeah, you're right guys, Hallmark is a way better target wait what
Valkor - 2010-06-08
what is wrong with you people?
WAAHHH WHY ARE ELDERLY BLACK PEOPLE SENSITIVE? WHAT DID WE EVER DO TO THEM? WAAHHH WAHHH
do you want me to get you another pacifier? did you wet your adult diapers? did your helmet crack and you need another one?
Cena_mark - 2010-06-08
I think we can conclude that we no longer need a civil rights movement any more.
No we cannot conclude that, fat white retard.
Well what has the NAACP recently done that has any merit?
Student and youth programs, legal defense funds, awareness programs, continued promotion of racial/social equality, etc.
Is there anything more revolting than the en-fattened white mass of manchildren on PoeTV wagging their chubby fingers at the NAACP because of a youtube video?
frau_eva - 2010-06-09
I see all this ridiculousness, both the video and the comments, on the same day I learn a Arizona principal is forcing them to change the mural on the school of actual students so that they have white faces. Stunning.
jaunch - 2010-06-09
Hallmark should put out a whole "black whore" line of cards.
"Sorry I forgot your birthday, you black whore!"
"Grandpa, you mean so much to me. Me, and my black whore."
"I am so sorry for the loss of your wife. She was the blackest whore I ever met."
nah it just needs its own holiday

The actual worst part? This NAACP chapter looks like Delta Force compared to what's left of the SCLC.
