Rodents of Unusual Size - 2010-07-07 This is my first time watching this. The dialogue is refreshingly gutsy. This is on TV and it's not HBO?
Camonk - 2010-07-07 The first episode is fantastic. Kind of uncomfortable but also hilarious. The second one was also good. They bleep "fuck" and some other of Louis CK's favorite words, but not so many.
Aelric - 2010-07-07 That was a fantastic scene. I guess I got a new show to watch.
dementomstie - 2010-07-07 Wow, I was not expecting to be so impressed by the clip, that was amazing. It's brilliant and smart and dirty, for some reason I was only expecting it to be dirty.
Some funny stuff in here but my main issue is that that is not the true etymology of faggot or flaming and it pisses me off that that ridiculous story is still being perpetuated.
Camonk - 2010-07-07 That's part of the bit though, you big gay girl. He's just using it to shock them all into shamed silence. The actual etymology doesn't matter. You gay girl.
baleen - 2010-07-07 WELL EXCUUUUUUUSE ME! -Steve Martin
snothouse - 2010-07-07 It's also just not that well written. If this wasn't LCK, people would be making fun of this for being "too much".
dododge - 2010-07-11 In his recent NPR interview he was asked whether the etymology is true:
"I don't know and I've actually read things online where people are saying 'that's not accurate'."
"This scene is about a guy who believes that to be the true origin of the word and it's about his feelings about it and what impact it has on me. if it's not the real explanation of the word 'faggot' I don't think it matters."
Anaxagoras - 2010-07-07 I've watched this clip 3 times now. What an amazing scene. Louis CK is usually pretty awesome, but this was something else.
