The God of Biscuits - 2010-07-12

It's that gotcha media again!

manfred - 2010-07-12

duh, billo is a part of the lamestream

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2010-07-12

FOX NEWS CONTRIBUTOR

What a nice way of saying she will never be getting an actual job at Fox News.

Xenocide - 2010-07-13

They pay her in little gold star stickers that say "I contributed!" on them.

She thinks they're each worth one electoral vote.

THA SUGAH RAIN - 2010-07-12

Her stupid is a cancer, and there is no cure

Stopheles - 2010-07-12

She's going to look like Cloris Leachman with an expensive hairstyle in five years.

Son of Slam - 2010-07-13

Fuck you for insulting Cloris Leachman like that. She doesn't need the abuse.

Stopheles - 2010-07-13

No, no, I love Cloris Leachman. I'm just looking forward to Palin looking less and less like a second-place winner in a beauty pageant. She's already looking a lot more haggard than she did two short years ago.

OhYouMeanNancy - 2010-07-12

She said *Thanks,* you too- right?

Caminante Nocturno - 2010-07-12

Does Sarah Palin know what a job is?

I'm only asking because right around 2:42 I started suspecting that she didn't.

Riskbreaker - 2010-07-12

Sarah Palin is not aware of how several things operate in this world.

Camonk - 2010-07-13

She sort of groks what a pit bull is. Further toward the horizon is a grizzly. Her understanding of a grizzly bear basically a hazy, grey outline of a really big pit bull. After that, it's all just swirling, empty fog and T names for boy-children.

Severian - 2010-07-12

Mama grizzly what

Mad Struggle - 2010-07-13

Everybody loves a big burly woman.

rev.dinosaur - 2010-07-14

5:10 - "Mama Grizzly" defined in three easy seconds.

Son of Slam - 2010-07-13

Mama Grizzlies apparently aren't that concerned with actually taking care of their own children.

Camonk - 2010-07-13

This was a five and a half minute long migraine. Her voice is a hundred tiny gnomes taking ice scrapers to the inside of my skull. Her words are another really evocative metaphor.

Syd Midnight - 2010-07-13

Maybe this will make Keith Olbermann's head explode

Mad Struggle - 2010-07-13

Nah, he had fail safe valves put in when Bush got elected.

phalsebob - 2010-07-13

You betcha, let me just say that Obama, Reid, and Pelosi from taking this country which needs to secure our borders with anything it takes from troops to a fences with illegals taking American jobs blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.

*wink*

Discordia - 2010-07-13

Palin: "American citizens need to be the first one at getting a shot at these jobs."

Via: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/10/us/10enforce.html?pagewanted=1&_ r=1

"
After the firings, Gebbers Farms advertised hundreds of jobs for orchard workers. But there were few takers in the state.

Show me one American just one climbing a pickers ladder, said Mara Cervantes, 33, a former Gebbers Farms worker from Mexico who gave her name because she was recently approved as a legal immigrant.

After completing a federally mandated local labor search, Gebbers Farms applied to the federal guest worker program to import about 1,200 legal temporary workers most from Mexico. The guest workers, who can stay for up to six months, also included about 300 from Jamaica.
"

spikestoyiu - 2010-07-13

An American would demand a ,000 salary and full medical benefits for that job. And three weeks off, paid vacation.

My girlfriend used to run a program for troubled youths, most of which never graduated high school. She would try to place them in menial restaurant jobs where the starting pay was often in the - an hour range. And these kids had the balls to turn them down, because they were convinced that they deserved better.

FABIO - 2010-07-13

I'm sorry, but not only are these stories bullshit, you have to go and pile more bullshit on top of them. No American would pick fruit for less than ,000 (I assume you mean /hour, unless you really are stupid enough to believe those are salaried positions)? Really? Thank you, John McCain.

http://poetv.com/video.php?vid=43669

There are people who perform unimaginably shitty jobs for minimum wage or less. Look up the video here of guys who dispose of dead rats in New York all day for /hour. Kids turning down /hour jobs? Does your girlfriend work in Beverly Hills? Bullshit. Total bullshit.

Complain about no American working for bullshit slave wages, but the pictures you paint are complete AgriCorp fed bullshit.

TeenerTot - 2010-07-13

I dunno. I worked as a stable hand while I was going to school. Minimum wage, but a job I enjoyed a lot. I think there a people willing to do these things, but there's a problem connecting them with the jobs?

spikestoyiu - 2010-07-13

New York City, actually. The kids didn't want the jobs, plain and simple. They were sure they deserved better. I'm not sure why I would make this story up. But here's another one you can swear I made up: we can't fill a help desk position here because it pays just under k.

Of course there are people who will do menial or low-paying jobs. My guess is most of them are adults with appropriate mindsets or children to feed. The shit about picking fruit for k a year was of course an exaggerated generalization used... oh, nevermind.

Two of my favorite jobs ever paid shit: janitor and haunted hayride actor.

tmavomodry - 2010-07-13

Is K in the NYC area a living wage? Shit is pretty expensive there.

spikestoyiu - 2010-07-13

Sorry for the potential confusion -- The job and I are both located in Philadelphia, where k may not get you a penthouse in Olde City, but it's certainly a livable wage.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2010-07-13

I'm pretty sure you have applicants, but no one in this country is willing to train for jobs like that. That is the problem. Everyone requires years of experience for jobs like that, and just having a degree has become totally meaningless.

victorm - 2010-07-13

Seriously, I will move from Detroit to Philly for this job.

cognitivedissonance - 2010-07-13

TO BE FAIR, we do deserve better. Much better. We here in America pay the people who pick our food and clean our toilets, the jobs that need doing THE MOST, the least, while we pay professional athletes and stock brokers, the jobs we need doing the LEAST, the most.

Our priorities are upside down.

pastorofmuppets - 2010-07-13

Her likening of amnesty to rewarding a child's bad behavior was downright artful. She's like the stay at home mom version of Davy Crockett.

Syd Midnight - 2010-07-13

During the VP debates when asked at what point she would authorize the use of nuclear weapons, she didn't answer and instead gave a rant about securing the border against Mexicans. That's like her superpower.

Chalkdust - 2010-07-13

wee wah wee wah wee wah wee wah

memedumpster - 2010-07-13

Poppa Bear is not happy to have other bears in his woods.

fatatty - 2010-07-13

I almost think that last question was an attempt to get a clip on the Colbert Report.

oddeye - 2010-07-13

I'm sick of these illegals taking all the good jobs like cleaning the local Burger King, damn you Mexico!

Bort - 2010-07-13

In Palin's (very limited) defense, there's not a Republican out there who could answer those questions; O'Reilly has chosen to single her out for humiliation, and I'm not sure why. Maybe he just wants to reclaim the spotlight from her?

jangbones - 2010-07-13

some Republicans must have figured she actually had a slim chance of actually securing the nomination, so they asked billo to put a stop to that

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2010-07-13

Not only does it make sense, it's delightful to watch.

The Mothership - 2010-07-13

Political Hero Ronald Reagan.

twinkieafternoon - 2010-07-13

Let's not lose focus on what's truly important.

Her hair, guys.

Seriously, it looks MAGNIFICENT.

Lauritz Melchior - 2010-07-13

But what's REALLY important is the American Flag on her lapel

spikestoyiu - 2010-07-13

It's like Progressive Flo meets Kate Gooselin circa 2009.

Testicles of Doom - 2010-07-13

She is not the fucking Governor. Stop calling her... stop it! She's not that!
