The books are flying out of here like... nothing.

I don't know what is worse, the attempts at acting, or the attempts at making this seem like the truth.
All of the stars are for the 90's FMV cut scenes, that make Phantasmagoria look good.

The "Glee" magazine cover is the only indication that this wasn't filmed in 1995.

This is kind of strange, because I've been doing a lot of research on book marketing on the net (it's sort of attached to something my company is pitching to a publishing company).
As it turns out, ~40% of teens watch trailers for books before buying them and claim that it is an important factor in influencing their purchasing a book, which is astonishing to me. This is really the worst case of it, but it might actually work wonders on the soft minds of 12-yo peer groups.
But... just because someone is an established writer with amazing connections doesn't mean they can do that much better:

Awful, but at least she's putting more effort into it than most yahoos who think that all they have to do is get their awful book, their poorly-edited zero-plausibilty political thrillers, their elf/vampire/demon romance novels, their lame attempts at slice-of-urban-life novels into "print" via a vanity press or some POD outfit like iUniverse or PublishAmerica or Lulu.com and success and bestseller-dom is only a step away.
That said, this makes Eragon sound like a timeless masterpiece.

WHAY HAVE WE BEEN TAKEN TO THIS totally different WORLD!?
Man, it's hard to emphasize extra shouting when they're shouting every word.

James Patterson got a copy and asked her what those squiggly things that look like an s with a dot under it are.

Hey, if she likes writing and it makes little girls happy, more power to her.

I have just been wowed. Yes, let's let the adventure begin!

At first I thought that the "Hollywood" scene was a cut to a completely unrelated porn setup.

The best part is how this isn't so much a trailer for her book as it is a trailer for her ego.
Michael Bay is already hard at work turning her ego into the next 0 million summer blockbuster. He's afraid the subject matter may be too over-the-top for him, though.

I got to finish writing my homoerotic post-apoc iceball world epic.
