It took 5 weeks of lessons, 2 a day, for /hour per kid, just to teach the choreography. The original set designer couldn't get out of a prior commitment in San Bernadino so they had to wait for the set pieces to come in from Italy. The African-shirt costume people even went on strike later that week. All before they even began filming the commercial for some crazy Finnish soda thing.
Naturally, after 46 freaking takes, the only time everything comes together and they do the dance right without breaking any props, the kid isn't in position and falls at the end.
