It's nice to be aware of such a huge change in society while it's happening.

I was going to criticise his judgement of his generation as being consumers trying to limit their creative children but then looked up his age and realised he's just older than he looks.

Stars for righteous pissing against the wind.

"Oh god, this generation is doomed and civilization is going downhill!"

-Every generation since the beginning of civilization

Did you even watch it?

I like how he uses Sousa's argument that the recorder is destroying the voices of young people as if somehow technology is destroying young people. I think people should read more books in general but that's sort of been on the hotlist for centuries. Does this man realize that karaoke nights/clubs exist in every village and city in the developed world?

He fails to mention that in Sousa's time if you DIDN'T SING you were ostracized, and that if you didn't wear the appropriate pants when you did an early evening dance at that week's social, as recommended by Beau Brummel, you would probably never get married and your bloodline would wither away. You could also likely be insulted and if you didn't shoot the man you were a pussy.

Way to go, pretentious youth hating guy.

Wow, you sure do have his number.

Your apathy is a real breath of fresh air from all of these mundanes constantly giving a shit about the world.

stage
Baleen it seems to me that hes pretty much saying the opposite of what you wrote. He did not say anything that came close to 'technology is destroying young people' but instead something more like 'technology is FREEING young people + their creativity'.

He doesn't hate on youth anywhere in the 19 minutes, so wtf are you talking about.

Modern Angel
What in the fuck, people? He's hating on old people and stringent copyright law. He's specifically *celebrating* young people. This isn't even some subtle thing open to interpretation.

Laws like this won't change till every last boomer is dead and current ten year old are all politically active.

Anyway, I promise not to one star anime remixes from now on, I'll just save that for production house anime.

if these are samples of the purest, most true form of creativity going forward, then poeTV sits at the tip of the spear forefront of this tsunami

Skip to 7:30 to get to the point. Loses a star for using an AMV as a sign of creativity.... loses another for showing another bad example... goddammit, AGAIN!? You're running out of stars, video. And the last star dies for using the letter "r" for the word "are" in his presentation.

I watched the video, and he's not wrong, but he's a bad advocate for his message. He seems surprised that society is set up to exploit the fuck out of whatever dumb-ass ape spawn generation the world is burdened with at the time.
Caminante Nocturno
This is just a wordier version of DESSERT's stupid comment.

I guess all the examples of teenagers literally triumphing over damned near anything don't count because they didn't use Vampire Hunter D footage. You don't see how this guy is literally praising creative mediocrity by presenting the lowest possible dreck as examples of this generation's "oppressed" ability? It's easier to be hip and cool and use pop-culture references though, right? Poe-news has made you reactionary, people can disagree without being The Enemy, you know.

I wish Camonk were here to call me a fag for even responding to this.

Caminante Nocturno
It took you eight lines and a dash of persecution complex just to say you completely missed the video's point.
