Where I live, the only fossils you ever find are brachiopods and crinoid tube segments, it's fucking boring.
They're much cooler alive.

I've seen at most a handful of crinoids in the Carribean.
I've seen possibly tenss of thouands in one dive in Indonesia. Imagine every hard coral plastered with dozens of these things, gripping like velcro to the sea fans etc. Remarkably diverse in coloration, with 3 or 4 species clinging to the same coral.
