The Huggable Universe Having thought about it, this video makes me feel sad.
It's like watching happy dog videos. Why are you so happy, dog? How can you enjoy something so much? Why haven't I ever enjoyed anything that much? What do I have to do to be like you?
I only find this video embarrassing because I desperately wish I could throw myself into something so whole-heartedly that I no longer cared how other people feel about me or that which I love.

RocketBlender I feel the same way about videos like that hambeast crying over the twilight trailer, or some nerd like invisablecrane showing off how incredably excited he is to have a copy of some video game I forgot was being released that week.
In a way, I feel a slight twinge of jealousy towards you, english hambeast. Angelina Jolie could call me up, and tell me she's bringing over a huge suitcase of cash in the private jet she's giving me, and all I have to do is sleep with her to get it all, and then I'd manage to get as excited as these guys do every time Twilight or Squaresoft announces a new product.

I've got to agree with WWD though, I liked team fortress at first, but now all it's annoying and packed with inside jokes and even more annoying players, and I never gave a shit about left4dead. All I really want is another HL2 episode, preferably one that isn't roughly 1/4 gravity gun.

I think the thing that bugs me most about this is that it's a cultish obsession with a company that makes products for them. This seems to be a confluence of three different Valve games (maybe? I've only played Half-Life), to the tie that binds these people is that they're all devoted to a company that they have no real association with.
I suppose I still have childish "I hate capitalism" sentiments that I haven't grown out of, but this seems like wholly depraved consumerism to me.

If you're going to be a nerd about this song, do it properly. PAX 2010 had a girl playing this song on the ukelele, dressed up as the robot. It was creepy and very awesome.
