Score one for Arthur.

Fuck. That was 8 years ago, too! I wasn't thinking robotics were that sensitive yet!

We're still stuck with the big cities and we don't have surgeons performing surgery on patients in some other location but he did get the rest right.

Spoonybard - 2010-09-09

Robotic surgery exists; remote surgery is just that plus telecommunications, which also exists. The fact that we could set up a surgeon in Edinburgh to operate on a patient in New Zealand is impressive enough, whether or not we see a specific need to do so.

This needs to be a voice over, in clips, on a video of modern cities and communications.

TeenerTot - 2010-09-09

Communications has made it possible to work from Tahiti. For those that have a job, I guess.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2010-09-09

And the company who brought it all to us . . . AT&T.

chumbucket - 2010-09-09

why even today I can make some wise-ass comment about some ancient artifact of a video and post it to everyone else in the world who decides to waste a bunch of time reading other wise-ass comments about old video clips or new clips of people farting into campfires and what-not

miracles

I've been in favor of not having to go to the city for your job for a long time, and wonder why we're so slow at getting there. There's a social component to a job, and not wanting to be at home all of the time though.
