Godard's Drinking Problem - 2010-09-13
Muiti-part broken at time of submittal (auth error). Here's the full film on a playlist from youtube:

The 3D version is also uploaded, if anyone has blue and red gels to tape over their eyes.

While "plagiarism" might be warranted as a tag, after seeing all of the drafts of Dune-- er, I mean, Star Wars that Lucas went through, accusing someone of ripping off Star Wars is a lot like accusing someone of mugging a bank robber.

They sure loved showing close-ups of Silica's shiny robot ass.

Not mentioning the whole screwdriver "reprogramming" scene and the resulting personality she gets.
Tuan Jim - 2010-09-13
Yeah, there sure was some misogyny goin' on here with all the woman-induced fuckups and crashes, too.

dead_cat - 2010-09-14
If you really know how to use a screwdriver, your special ladybot will always come back to you. Because she has to.

Why would they give the robots hand held whips? Why not integrate the whip into their arm, that would prevent the whips from being taken and used by the slaves.
Toenails - 2010-09-13
If I was a robot, I'd rather get the whip ripped out of my hand than get my arm torn off.

Besides, you don't think the robots don't have a life outside of whipping slaves? What, they punch out and then just go off to their storage box until the next time they're on the job?

"Hey baby, want to go kill all the humans?"

freedoom - 2010-09-13
No, robots don't get time off. that's the glory of having a robot. Also why wouldn't they just build more robots to do their mining instead of using slaves that need food, water and sleep.

Tuan Jim - 2010-09-13
I think the idea was that the bad robot guy got off on the tables being turned.

You're dissecting a 25 year old cartoon movie about a space Jesus with an invisible sword, a kercheif wearing Bruce Willis/Han Solo with a Pancho Villa cigar, a lusty fem-bot, a slutty princess, and ship's computer with a dubious sexual orientation flying around in a penis shaped ship trying to save the galaxy.

memedumpster - 2010-09-14
The whips are there to remind their masters that robots don't mine.
