Soo....was that lava lamp rendering your own censoring device or was the film actually shot like that? I hope the latter.

That was me. I tried three separate settings on the editing software I use (a Linux program called Kino), sometimes in combination, and when I could still make out a few dicks, I decided against submitting that clip directly.

At one point I tried censoring a scene by superimposing a a blue abstract wallpaper over the whole frame, but for reasons that I haven't figured out yet, when I played it back the clip, the wallpaper image just rolled over to the right. I rerendered the scene with an effect called "kaleidoscope", that gave the image a more symmetrical mirror-image look. Most of the censored shots user a combintion of "pixiliate" and "kaleidoscope".

You get that I was the one who wrote that, right?

Did I mention that it's really bad? Good. So don't blame me if you don't like it. You can buy a DVD of HARD GORE from Alpha Blue Archives or Something Weird, or download it from the usual locations, but that would be wrong.

One thing that interests me is the actress... whose name, I believe, was Dianne Galkas (or something similar). She has almost no lines, and when she speaks, she sometimes sounds like she might be hearing impaired. The idea of a deaf woman working in early porn seems historically interesting, and a great story. I dig and dig through pages of google, and it seems like Dianne left no record other than the handful of films she made.
