Early 90's rap was so gentrified.

Man, I don't remember this show looking so cool! I like the voices, too

Oh man. I'd forgotten that they made an MC Hammer cartoon. Now I'll have to spend another 20 years forgetting it again.

I got about two minutes in before I tapped out.

I used to love this show and watch MC Hammer's cartoon also. His girlfriend's voice was Sailor Jupiter.

I once heard Sailor Mercury's voice coming out of Hello Kitty, and it blew me away.

I wish that Reese's commercial hadn't buried itself in my brain like a time capsule.

That was like a time-release subliminal drug. Now I have to go kill the Prime Minister.

Murder Pieces.

They made Audrey smarter than Seymour. That's just wrong.

Also I love that Hammer sees a burning house and just responds with dance.

They also made Audrey Mr. Mushnik's daughter, and made Seymour not an orphan. Plus, they made a cartoon based on kid versions of characters from an 1980s musical based on a 1960s Roger Corman horror movie, and made the plant eat things that weren't human blood. I don't think they cared all that much about staying true to the source material.

Oh, I guess Seymour wasn't an orphan in the original movie - he lived with his hypochondriac mother. That and a few other things remind me that this was based more on the Corman film than the musical version.

Which makes a lot of their choices even more baffling, frankly.
