I think what offends me most about her is that she basically wants for absolutely nothing being the daughter of a celebrity whore who gets paid more than most people make in a year just for showing up some place and delivering a recycled speech. Yet, she thinks she's the voice of all disenfranchised, young mothers who actually ARE in various states of poverty and/or unstable life situations.

I have nothing but sympathy for Bristol Palin. She seems like a normal girl with the misfortune to have sprung from the cunt of America's cuntiest politcian. Unlike her mom, who gets thousands for reading a few platitudes off the back of her hand, she worked hard on this. What makes her a "star" by "Dancing with the Stars" standard is simply the fact that people will tune in to see her, even those hoping for a train wreck. That's just capitalism. Celebrity News is cheap to report and brings in an audience, and that's why the "celebrity" bar gets lower and lower. It's not that people are getting stupider, though it may be that corporations are getting greedier.
