this is not terrible.

Only because it was graced by the presence of Dom Deluise.

But I know what you're thinking: How does Skateboard Kid rate by the standards of one man's very, very specific shoe obsession?

UmbilicalFiend - 2010-10-20
My mom rented THE SKATEBOARD KID II for me when I was 8 or 9. I almost didn't watch it because I hadn't seen the first one.

But Skateboard died at the end of part one!

Making a sequel would just cheapen the emotional resonance of the story!

This movie is ridiculous. Clowns can't reproduce.

Fuck you!

Old_Zircon - 2010-10-20
So is this a sequel to The Dirtbike Kid, or what? The plot seems to be pretty much the same.
Old_Zircon - 2010-10-20
Also, needs "extreme" tag.

Exactly how many movies have involved kids fighting against a developer's plans to pave over a local landmark or skatepark or whatever with the help of a magical thing or critter? That's what half of the direct-to-video stuff on the shelves in the early 90s appeared to be at my local video stores.

The Huggable Universe - 2010-10-20
Added the extreme tag.

I don't think there is any direct relation between the two, there are no writers, directors, producers or film companies in common between the two films. Probably just unfortunately similar entries into the "socially inept but nice children fight to save a(n) X from Y with the help of a(n) Z.

Bonus trivia: the woman two produced The Dirtbike Kid also produced Sharktopus and Dinoshark. 30 years of excellence! She does get a little slack from me though, for being involved in Chopping Mall...

Caminante Nocturno - 2010-10-21
You could be a war criminal for all I care, I'd forgive you for anything if you were involved in Sharktopus.
