Believe me, you're missing out. Troll 2 is an experience to be shared. With whom, I'm not sure. Why, I'm not sure either. But it is a cultural rite of passage.
I just watched the Troll 2 documentary "Best Worst Movie", directed by the guy who played the lead kid (the recipient of this little speech). It was fun. The guy who played the dad is awesome.
I also learned that the mom is an insane cat lady, the guy who played the Nilbog general store owner was a honest-to-God on loan from a psychiatric hospital mental patient, and the director is a raging asshole egomaniac with plans for a "Troll 2: Part 2."
Having seen that makes this even better, because at the end I felt bad for the dad since he seemed to be getting bored and disgusted by the annoying horror fans and theater dorks that worshiped his movie, but now he seems to be enjoying himself again.
"Eet ees a movie...about eating. About life. And death. About family's love for one another, and the things in the world which try to tear apart and...destroy a family's love."
The Alamo is the only time I watch movies that aren't torrented. It's totally awesome, they have great food and awesome beer.
One time, this was when Lost was on the air, they were showing it @ the Alamo for free. So anyway I got really, really drunk and passed out in a chair and the usher lady was like 'Hon, you're going to have to wake up...' Oh man. Then I went and puked in the bathroom. Best Lost episode ever.
