I'm really surprised the integrator drives its output -- along with whatever that output is connected to down the line -- by mere friction between balls, plates, and cylinders, especially considering how much grease/oil must be spread all over the machine to reduce friction everywhere else.

Wow, that's really cool! I want to build something out of gears!
