I think there's a difference between relating the story of one's own immigrant family to a general audience and exploiting the stereotypes of an ethnicity you aren't a part of to make a quick buck.

True ROUS, but Margaret Cho could have easily told this joke using a normal Korean accent and not stretching/flattening her face. She's not one to complain about negative asian stereotypes.

Yeah, it's pretty hypocritical of her to reinforce the negative stereotype of Asian Moms who are morbidly curious about gay ass porn. It's been a mark of shame for the entire Asian Mom community.
