Wait, why do we need holograms again?

Oh, right. Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments.
Urburos - 2010-12-09
Easier to take in scale of size when you have holograms? I imagine it would cause the same percentage increase in learning the books have been proven to provide over computers. It keeps your attention focused better.

And Yu-Gi-Oh touraments. Eventually, most of our daily lives will involve holograms but first it has to be used for a child's card game

If holograms like this can be generated in real-time via an array of cameras, I can see them making a swell cloaking device. That's one application.

I find it satisfying that holography is finally being referred to as "traditional".
I must be in the future.

my dad was doing holography in art school during the 70's

TimidAres - 2010-12-09
Well MY dad is a firefighter AND goes to space on the weekends!

I obviously dont have the first clue about what holography really is.

balistic - 2010-12-09
My dad is a hologram. That's why my z-buffer is so fat.

This is the first video I've seen on PoE-TV calling something a hologram that actually IS a hologram. Five stars for that.
