Just so you know, I like Gibson a lot, except I hate him for coining the word "cyberspace".

William Gibson should write a predictive sci fi novel about what kind of predictive sci fi books were going to have in 20 years time.

I love interviews with Gibson because he is so un-like what everyone expects him to be. I knew so many people in high school who read Gibson and adopted a dipshit phreaker persona, and assumed that Gibson was some black trenchcoat-wearing cyber-goth who jumped from rooftop to rooftop at night while traveling to his next 2600 meeting in a covert location somewhere under the city, only to have their image crushed when they discovered he basically knew almost nothing about computers and just sort of bullshitted his way through the jargon to create a cool sci-fi story.

I'm still also upset that Michael Mann's long-in-development Count Zero project never materialized into anything.

It's a fact: William Gibson looks and sounds like my girlfriend's dad.

This is really good. I didn't expect him to be like this at all.
