Is it just me or it is that the further in history we get from Regan's policies and the more they're shown to be bullshit, the more Republicans venerate him? Or is it just that he was the only Republican President in the last 50 years who wasn't overtly incompetent or a criminal?

And it's really just amazing how "freedom" is used by these people as an empty positive buzzword to associate to their cause when deep down they really long for the strong arm, spiritual fervor based authoritarian regimes the likes of Iran, just as long as none of the oppression is turned on them because they're white, Christian, and the majority.

Honestly I think that's the real reason they're so terrified of immigrants and minorities: they WANT a tyranny of the majority and for any other group to outnumber must mean that they'll end up being oppressed.

Actually, Reagan didn't really have Alzheimers. The Republican party was so obsessed with protecting his ideals that they took out his brain and replaced it with that of a forgetful, cadaverous sagging pile of flesh. They use copies of his brain to either create or brainwash politicians to do his bidding until the Mecha Reagan, a machine with both futuristic technology and arcane magic(k) (like Victor von Doom), that is currently in the making under a backwoods town in Romania. When MechaReagan rises, the earth shall be scorched and recreated in an instant, thus bringing about his reign of terror. His cult of fanatic followers shall be his people and those who oppose him shall be forever enslaved.
