Moderately attractive maybe. Gamer grrrls are usually more attractive than actual female nerds for obvious reasons but not pretty or cool enough to get the jocks so the Sour Grapes complex sets in, they then think it's cool to be uncool but not fully committing and because of their looks and status limbo, they see it easier to be queen of the nerds since it's pretty much an untapped market. Only problem is that the hardcore nerds don't care for them regardless of looks due to how casual they are and knowing they are in it for the image so they get stuck with the very casual demographic that they happen to fall under. This girl is slumming and she fucking knows it.

Mother_Puncher - 2011-01-15 I always assumed it was reserved for the girls who think they are rebelling against the "preppy" girls by hanging out with boys and doing "boy things" and doing shit to prove they are rebels to something. I guess that kind of fits too.

I knew a Hawaiian chick who was really hot and was really awesome at FPSs but never talked about it and some girls who just liked games like Zelda and Mario and whatnot but never made a big deal about it but I'm more familiar with "OMG RE5 JUST CAME OUT TIME TO GET A TATTOO I LYK BLOODY GAMES AND IM A GIRL XD YOU ARE EPIC FAIL LOL I WAS PLAYING HALO AND FRAGGED A N00BIE EPIC WIN LOL CALL ME LAPRAS BECAUSE I KNOW ITS A POKEMON AND ISNT POPULAR FACEBOOK PICS OF MY STUPID FACE WITH SOME NERDY AND RANDOM IN MY HAND OMG MY BOYFRIEND BOUGHT ME THE NEW WHITECHAPEL CD" brand because it's more common. Oddly enough the ones I do know arent even moderately attractive and are leviathans.

FABIO - 2011-01-15 It's just the video game version of girls faking being into something just enough to get attention out of it: the college chicks who love telling guys how they totally make out with other girls, the woman who's more into telling everyone how she's into sports than actually being into sports.
I guess the guy equivalent is learning the cliff note version of reality shows so he can make some lame David DeAngelo pickup jokes about it.

Mother_Puncher - 2011-01-15 I kinda think guys are more notorious for the shit but don't get nearly as extreme about it most of the time. The "sensitive" guy, the "you're a vegan? me too!" guy and the guy who goes to college and plays an acoustic guitar everywhere he goes and turns his speakers outside his room. Guys do it a lot too but mostly just to get laid and otherwise wouldn't he caught dead doing "feminine things" outside of that. Gamer girls will continue to seek large amounts of attention even when in relationships which is probably where they got into games or to get that type of guy.
