Yep. Regardless of what you think about Banksy, this was pretty brilliant.

I just assumed as much, mostly because I don't see anyone who has theoretically held a camera for years manage to do so without developing any basic competency along the way, the bumbling mannerisms feel quite deliberate.

It didn't really concern me that it might be a hoax. It crossed my mind, but I just sort of chalked it up as part of what made the whole thing great (and so much fun). If it's a hoax, who got trolled hardest? If it's not, at what point did Banksy and Fairey et al decide to just run with it because it was more fun than trying to get away from Thiery? I could see elements of almost every artist in the film in MBW's work, are they all in on it? Or is that just another point being made - that all art can be reduced to component parts and reassembled, and Thiery just streamlined the process. It's actually similar to what Fairey himself has done since OBEY became an actual brand name. At it's core, it's what most of these artists based their style on - re-purposing images for their own artistic needs...
