I could only imagine the laugh tracks as fearful. Amusment of the nervous type, as thier notions of reality were stripped away.

I loved these cartoons as a kid. They're still pretty imaginative and try out funky animation concepts.

I really hated that they gave the Pink Panther a voice when they tried rebooting the show a few decades ago.

You know, the first ever Pink Panther cartoon, where Pink Panther is painting a house pink, is a really good short film. It's one of Friz Freling's best. Stretched out over hundreds of shorts, though, the premise is a little tiresome. The music and tone in particular feels cold, empty and weird.
