Mark Ames wrote an interesting article about how the poor and working class who support the Tea Party and the Republican Corporate/Conservative agenda are not only aware of their actions but engaged in a collective hatefuck of the rest of middle class, working class and poor America for having it only slightly better than they do, which would mean, of course, only slightly better than having no hope.

In that vein, this morning at work, Fox News is on in the coffee room as always, and I stop in to put my lunch in the fridge. Some guys on Fox are talking about WI state cops being sent after the absent Dem senators, and questioning whether those senators will/should lose their jobs.

The janitor (a younger Latino guy who seems in no way right-wing or mean-spirited) looks up from mopping the break room and, with a nod at the TV, says to me "Let those bigshots lose their jobs, right? Let them see how it feels for once."

Without even paying much attention, he had integrated the current GOP narrative that public-sector workers are the real enemy. Propaganda is some powerful shit. You can't have a real Democracy without a well-informed public.

They obviously bought and sold him through their front groups and PACs without him every actually having met them though. I would hope, unless this is really how David Koch talks, which according to the prankster/journalist he just made up the impression so I doubt it.

But you can tell by his reaction how excited he is to be talking to such a great capitalist legend. And someone who has given his campaign a lot of money and someone who will be making a lot of money once Walker sells the state owned power plants to the Koch Bros.
