He may not have succeeded in taking down the OMM page on Wikipedia, but he DID get the Portal of Evil page taken down simply by proposing it as "non-notable" and then deleting the whole page after no-one objected to it (great rules Wiki has there for their internal standards). He also tried to get K. Thor and Chet's pages removed I believe.

Does Wikipedia have a conflict of interest policy for admins? Regardless, it frustrates me that so many of them feel like they are the guardians of internet information-- yet they are completely ignorant about what is meaningful or significant to the internet community. For example, pretty much every professional wrestler that has ever existed can be found on wikipedia-- great job guys! And now we are reacquainted with Beanbag Costanza sans party hat, who musters all his pathetic earthly power to get a wikipedia page deleted. You might mistake him for a loser, but when it comes to fire drill stories, he can really spin a yarn.
