There's just one thing wrong here:

It doesn't look and I doubt it will even feel like you're in control of a giant robot. What's the point if you're not going to knock down buildings while engaging in stupidawesome vertical war? This game wouldn't change at all if it was just guys in jetpacks.

I am in full agreement with you, however Heavy Gear 2 was a great "mech" game and it never made you feel huge. I choose to think of this game as Heavy Gear 3, not Mechwarrior 5.

The scenery looks cool in a way you will get tired of eventually, but it doesn't look fun at all.
