The one, sure fire way you can tell you fucking stupid an audience a comedian has is how quickly they will go with that comedian down any road, even if that road is a bunch of nonsensical "nigger" jokes or ludicrously violent revenge fantasies against people like, say "atheists." I mean, there isn't even a missed beat here...he goes from his usual shit into "nigger nigger nigger" to thrilled cheers. "YEAH! YEAH!! NIGGERS!! YEAH!"
