This show is so great. They embody the magically awesome land that exists between "artist" and "engineer".
That completely blew my mind.

Old school business looks like so much fun.

The great thing about British TV is that this could have been made any time between 1982 and 1997, and the production values and set design would have been exactly the same.
That's because they recorded everything on sticky tape and rust.
