Yeah ok, I might just go check out this special effects orgy. Also, Kilowog is in it. Nerd-gasm.
hornung
but it looks like the villain is hector hammond. and that is lame.

AND Parallax...which has to count for something.

Ha ha ha ha ha. This trailer gets funnier as it goes on.

Well, the lack of imagination on his part is actually pretty faithful to the comics

Feeling more optimistic now.

well they seem to have less douchebaggery than i thought would be in it. maybe i will see it.

I'm not persuaded that its good, but I am persuaded to go see it, which I suppose is all it needs to do.

They nearly managed to go a whole trailer without a gravely Batman roar. By now I'm expecting the next Superman reboot to be voiced by Tom Waits.

Aw fuck I'm going to like a Ryan Reynolds movie

comic book nerds are like abused women who keep going back to the guys who wailed on them

first news of a comic book movie "haha LAME this is gonna suck and disappoint me just like the last five comic book movies"

teaser trailer: "hmph those special effects look dubious at best"

full trailer "omg it has ____ and even ____!!! yessss this time will be different I'm sure! Ahem! I mean... I guess I'll give it a chance."

jangbones
prediction - occasionally interesting, ultimately tries to be both nerdy and lcd, thus disappointing

It looks entertaining to me. I never really liked the comics anyway...I always thought Green Lantern was one of the perfect examples of a comic where the writers tried so hard to give it a serious, extended universe, that it just got way out of hand and took away part of the simple "dude using superpowers to villains" charm to it. So...it'll probably be good for a comic movie, but that will not stop the horrible cry of the fanpeoples whose wails have already gotten WB to actually APOLOGIZE for the first trailer and re-do the entire CG for the movie.

Green Lantern works best as "space cop" rather than "hero with magic wishing ring". I like how they did the energy constructs in the JL and JLU cartoons, where the ring created basic shapes rather than guns and motor cycles and boxing gloves and toilet plungers.

I can find things to bitch about with this trailer, but I'll lay off and hope the movie turns out okay. As always, if they don't sell audiences on the person who becomes the hero, nothing will save it.

Comics are for kids.

I'm not really a fan of the green lantern and i thought that looked pretty awesome. except for the CG costume, that just looks weird.
