He's arguably in worse shape than Jake Roberts or Jeff Hardy. Maybe combined.

Dude has a pacemaker and just had double pneumonia. I'd not seen any video, though. Holy shit he looks bad.

So is dragging out an ex-star turned junkie/drunk for a staggering finale some sort of new "thing" with wrestling?
Sadly wrestling just clings to the nostalgia of the Monday Night Wars.
There's a select group of meatheads who just can't seem to come up with anything new (Hogan, Bischoff, Nash, Hall, Waltman, Earl Hebner in regards to Montreal, etc.)...and they always seem to work together. Birds of feather I guess.
ROH and most bigger indies like D-Gate are young and exciting, and WWE (finally) moved beyond 1999 (with the exception of bringing back guys like the Rock for one-offs, but they don't drag out old feuds thank God), so at least there is fresh ideas and self-aware approaches out there.
Yes, the modern WWE writing is a terrific example of fresh ideas and self-awareness.

*Whew* I was worried something was wrong with Hard Gay.
Hard Gay is okay, everyone. It's just some junkie.

The promoter posted online his defense for sending him out. He argues on his behalf despite admitting that Scott showed up in this condition after spending the entire ride harassing his driver while on pills of some kind. When he arrived it was OBVIOUS he couldn't go. Naturally, he's let him out there so 500 people could be happy:
He's got nothing on Jake Robert's "Heroes" appearance, but the last thing we want is him gunning for that level or anything.

I hope he's saving up for a new liver...
