Weird, huh? When I was a kid, I'd go out to a large field in a relatively uninhabited part of town and launch my model rockets. It took about 3 or 4 launches before I had an audience of other kids. It's like he lives in a ghost town. But you know all the houses are full. That's what makes this so evil, eh?
Obligatory warning that PVC is a really bad choice for this, because when pressurized it can fail explosively with sharp bits of shrapnel flying everywhere at high speed. OSHA has been trying to stop shops from using it for compressed air lines for 20+ years but it's so cheap and easy to work with that people use it anyway (or simply don't know about the danger). I've seen a blowout first hand and you do not want to be in the vicinity when it happens.
Cool project, just use something else for the air lines.
