We ported down in Christ Church in the mid 90's. One of the DDG crew had been there many times, and we went up into the hills to party with some Maori. As much as we drank, a few of the tribesman did admit that it was a major epidemic at that point. The problem was, after pretty much blacking out that night, the Maori only did this once in awhile. This was a nightly event for the guys down in the city.
