According to a historian friend of mine (who could have been fucking with me), the Library of Alexandria was a disorganized mess. The empire basically treated knowledge/scrolls like any other precious commodity and used the library like a giant knowledge treasure chest--shoving scrolls willy-nilly wherever they would fit. Although ancient scholars certainly did study at the library, finding a specific text was probably about as difficult as finding a 1953 San Fransisco quarter in Scrooge McDuck's Money Bin. They probably just sat around studying the ancient equivalents of Twilight and Dave Barry because those were the only scrolls on hand.
So, wait... this guy's thing is to rip off perfectly good Carl Sagan Cosmos and audio-book segments and ruin them with a bunch of irrelevant movie outtakes and distracting background music, and then call it a "tribute"?
I mean, I think he did decent editing on "A Universe Not Made For Us", but this is just shitty work here.
