I noticed that they re-dubbed several recognizable songs to "sounds-like" versions for syndication.

This episode, [3F15] A Fish Called Selma, definitely had Homer's brain singing the actual Gary Glitter song when first run, but in subsequent airings it was changed slightly. This is some foreign voice actor's (accurate) take on the changed version.

I thought maybe they just changed it due to fallout from Glitter's 2005 kiddie-sex conviction, but then I caught a re-run of [8F06] Lisa’s Pony, and they had changed the Beatles' "Golden Slumbers" when Homer is asleep at the wheel to something that sounds very similar to, but not quite exactly like, the actual song.

This comment made me wonder how awesome it would be if British fans sang off a red-carded Frenchman with a song comparing him to a child porn enthusiast.
