Mexico is chock full of incredible people. This video contains just a few of them.

Every Mexican I've known has been pretty cool.

There may be some cool folks in Mexico, I've been to Chihuahua, myself. But there's a fucking gunfight happening right outside an elementary school. Their government is broken, cartels run most of the country, one teacher won't save them.

There's no single solution (although I think reducing US demand for black market drugs through decriminalization and regulation would help), but it's hard to think of people more essential to a better future for Mexico than those protecting and educating children.

Ha, these guys are amateurs. In America, the gunfights happen _in_ the schools. Plus, pipe bombs!

Because treating addiction isn't politically sustainable in many parts of the US. It's much more expensive to just lock them in prison for life and try to arrest/kill the dealers and a lot of individuals are making bank on this spending.

I was talking about saving the innocents caught in the crossfire but yeah, I suppose we should do something for the addicts, too.
